Upon leaving the village, we will begin with a gentle walk along an old mining road to the Kapulyoq Pass (2800 meters \/ 9,240 feet). From this step we will have our first fascinating view of the deep Apurimac canyon and the surrounding snowy peaks. Much work has been done in recent years to excavate, clean and restore the site. After lunch, those who decide to visit the (restored buildings and terraces about 300 meters (1000 feet) below the main structures of Choquequirao). Later, our dinner will consist of a typical <a href=\"https:\/\/machupicchuviptours.com\/it\/pacchetti-in-peru\/\">Peruvian<\/a> &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pachamanca\">pachamanca<\/a>&#8221; (traditional Andean ingredients cooked on earth). Volunteers to help with the preparation will be welcome! If there is time, on the way we will stop and visit Saywite, a huge rock carved by the Incas in a three-dimensional representation of their empire, complete with flora and fauna.
