Itinerary
DAY 1: CUSCO ‐ ESCULA PUKUTUNI – PUCACCOCHA
The pick-up will be very early and it will be a three-hour trip to the beginning of the trail at Pukutuni School. Here you can enjoy a rich breakfast and meet the whole team, the chef, porters and horsemen. It will be a three-hour walk to your lunch spot in the village of Upis, on the foot of Ausangate Mountain. After lunch, you will climb another 1.5 hours uphill to the first pass called Vicuña Pass (4850 masl) and then approximately 3 hours to your afternoon camp in Pucaccocha. Along the way there are stunning views of valleys, waterfalls and glacial peaks.

DAY 2: PUCACCOCHA – PASO DEL CONDOR – PASO DE ALPACA – SORORNI LAKE
After an early and nutritious breakfast, the trek will continue with a 2-hour climb to the Condor Pass (4900 masl). Along the way you will have magical views of the mountains and lagoons of Ausangate and maybe you will see some llamas and alpacas. It is then a gradual downhill walk for 2 hours to our lunch spot. After lunch, you will have a small climb to the Alpaca pass (4950 masl), where you can see a small part of the Rainbow Mountain. DAY 3: SORONI LAKE – RAINBOW MOUNTAIN – KAYRAWIRI – AGUAS CALIENTES

DAY 4: MACHUPÌCCHU
We arrived that we were all waiting for, one of the 7 wonders of the world and a World Heritage Site by UNESCO we will wake up early and after breakfast option to walk or board the bus to Machupicchu, we will make a 30-minute trip arriving at the citadel of Machupicchu. We will have a guided tour of 2 hours and 30 minutes to know the most important places of Machupicchu, you can visit the most impressive places such as the Royal Mausoleum, the 3-window temple, the main temple, the Sacred Square, the famous Intihuatana where Incas sages tied the sun on the winter solstice in June, stairways, squares, fountains, etc.
After the tour you have free time of a few more hours to visit Machupicchu on your own and if you go if you want to climb one of the mountains – Huaynapicchu (must be booked in advance) Then you will have to return to the town of Aguas Calientes, where you will have time for lunch (not included). ABOUT THE PROGRAM
- To climb the mountain of Huayna Picchu or Machupicchu mountain, there is a limit of spaces per day, it is recommended to check availability with us and book in advance.
- The pick-up, arrival and train schedules are referential, this will depend on the availability of the train company.
- We always do our best to follow the fixed itinerary, however it may change from time to time based on temporary weather and park restrictions, availability, weather, road closures, guest / injury capacity and natural events such as fires and floods.
