TOUR TO MACHUPICCHU 2 DAYS

DAY 1: CUSCO – AGUAS CALIENTES (MACHUPICCHU VILLAGE)

In the morning (06:00 – 10:00) we pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and transfer to the train station of (San Pedro, Poroy or Ollantaytambo), where we will board the train to the town of Aguas Calientes. On the way you can see the views from the train windows are absolutely spectacular when we travel along the Urubamba river and the important mountains that surround it, the trip will last 2 hours to 3 hours approximately. Upon arrival in the cozy village our representative will pick you up and take you to our accommodation reserved for you and you will have the afternoon free to explore the city on your own, visit the thermal baths or visit the Mandor Falls. Before the visit to “Machupicchu” they will meet our expert local guide in Machupicchu to plan the best way to get to know him the next day.

DAY 2: SANCTUARY OF MACHUPICCHU – AGUAS CALIENTES 

Today you will visit Machupicchu, the famous sacred city of the Incas. In the morning after breakfast we will board the bus for 30 minutes from the town of Aguas Calientes to the archaeological site of Machupicchu. Upon entering, we will appreciate its enigmatic beauty and incomparable architecture and hydraulic engineering. The guide will give us a 2-hour guided tour through the site, explaining the meaning of each sector and the historical legacy. Later, you will have free time to explore independently and take photos, if you have managed to book with us the permits to climb Huayna Picchu Mountain or Machu Picchu Mountain, our guide will provide you with the recommendations to go on that adventure. We will board the bus back to the town of Aguas Calientes, and enjoy a delicious lunch (not included in the price), we will board the train back to Cusco.tour to machupicchu

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

• The visitor’s stay in Machupicchu will be a maximum of four (4) hours from their arrival until their departure between 06:00 and 14:00, according to the respective registration (it closes at 17:30) and with respect to The income of Machupicchu and Huayna Picchu mountain or Machupicchu and Machupicchu mountain will be a maximum of seven (7) hours from your selected income.
• During the rainy season from January to May, the train service only departs from the Ollantaytambo train station.
• The pick up, arrival and train times are referential, this will depend on the reservation date for the specific programming.
• To climb the Huayna Picchu mountain or Machupicchu mountain, there is a limit of spaces per day, it is recommended to check availability with us and book in advance.
• The pick up, arrival and train schedules are referential, this will depend on the availability of the train company.
• We always do our best to follow the fixed itinerary, however it may change from time to time based on temporary park and weather restrictions, availability, weather, road closures, guest / injury capacity and natural events such as fires and floods.
