TOUR SACRED VALLEY & MACHUPICCHU 2 DAYS

DAY 1: CUSCO – SACRED VALLEY – AGUAS CALIENTES (MACHUPICCHU VILLAGE)

After breakfast we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and begin our journey to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Along the way, we will stop at the natural viewpoints of qorao and taray to enjoy the beautiful views and get to know a little with our guide. Next, we will visit the archaeological site of pisaq, which is approximately 1 hour outside of cusco. There, we will see Inca constructions of great importance that served as an adaptation area for agricultural products. We will have a two-hour guided tour of the archaeological complex before heading to the pisaq town where the most popular craft market in the area is located.sacred valley and machupicchu tour

Subsequently, we will continue our trip to Urubamba, passing through traditional villages, such as coya, lamay, and calca along the picturesque route.

At 12:00 pm we will arrive in Urubamba; this is where we will stop for lunch.

Our next stop will be the town of Ollantaytambo, which many refer to as the city where the Inca warrior Ollantay lived, as it still retains its original house structure. We will visit the archaeological site that bears the same name as the town. Then between 16:30 – 19:00 (depending on the availability of trains), we will board the train in Ollantaytambo which will take us on the way to Aguas Calientes, where you can have dinner on your own.

DAY 2: SANTUARY OF MACHUPICCHU – AGUAS CALIENTES 

This day will be the most exciting of our journey as we get to know the most important archaeological center in South America. Before everything we will start this great day with a delicious breakfast and we will board the bus for 30 minutes from the town of Aguas Calientes to the archaeological site. At the archaeological site, we will immerse ourselves in the enigmatic beauty and perfection of incomparable Inca engineering of the site, which has made it one of the 7 new wonders of the world.

We will have a 2-hour guided tour accompanied by a specialist guide who will explain the history of the site. Later, you will have free time to explore independently and take photos, if you have managed to book with us the permits to climb Huayna Picchu Mountain or Machu Picchu Mountain, our guide will provide you with the recommendations to go on that adventure.

After the excursion, we will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes. There, you will have time for lunch before we have to take the train back to Cusco.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

• The visitor’s stay in Machupicchu will be a maximum of four (4) hours from their arrival until their departure between 06:00 and 14:00, according to the respective registration (it closes at 17:30) and with respect to The income of Machupicchu and Huayna Picchu mountain or Machupicchu and Machupicchu mountain will be a maximum of seven (7) hours from your selected income.
• During the rainy season from January to May, the train service only departs from the Ollantaytambo train station.
• The pick up, arrival and train times are referential, this will depend on the reservation date for the specific programming.
• To climb the Huayna Picchu mountain or Machupicchu mountain, there is a limit of spaces per day, it is recommended to check availability with us and book in advance.

• We always do our best to follow the fixed itinerary, however it may change from time to time based on temporary park and weather restrictions, availability, weather, road closures, guest / injury capacity and natural events such as fires and floods.
